Wilmington Trust Adds To Wealth Advisory Team In New York

Wilmington Trust has hired John Shea as a senior private client advisor for its wealth advisory team in Binghamton, NY.

Shea will provide wealth management advice to high net worth individuals, families, entrepreneurs, business owners, foundations and endowments.

Shea has over 20 years of experience as a financial professional, having most recently worked for BNY Mellon’s asset servicing business in Massachusetts. Before that, he held positions as a client relationship manager for ITS Associates in Wellesley, MA; an auditor and portfolio accountant with State Street Bank; and a mutual fund accountant with SEI in Wayne, PA.

Last month, Wilmington Trust bolstered its wealth advisory team in Florida with the addition of Michael Engelbrecht and Michele Vogel as senior private client advisors, and Katrina Lee as senior investment advisor.

Wilmington Trust’s wealth advisory team provides personal trust, financial planning, fiduciary, asset management and family office services to HNW individuals and families. Last month, the firm opened a new office in Albany, NY, and also recruited a new team there. It also appointed Peter Carnathan as a private client advisor in the Greater Washington area.
